Cleaning of membrane textiles - functional principle

Membrane materials function like human skin. Body moisture during sporting activities can escape in the form of water vapour, at the same time the outer fabric of the ski clothing reliably protects against moisture from outside (e.g. snow, rain). The care and maintenance of functional ski clothing requires detergents with special properties, as conventional detergents close the membrane and residual fabric softener residues can cause transpiration back-up. 

How we clean - TEX WASH & IMPRA WASH-IN

We clean the rented ski equipment at a professional laundry service using only special detergents
that preserve the material properties. HEY SPORT TEX WASH has been specially developed for the function-preserving cleaning of textiles with membranes. The function of the ski clothing is maintained thanks to the absence of fabric softening agents and adjusting agents. This way, DROPKID's ski gear is hygienically clean down to the last fibre while still retaining its positive properties - waterproof, windproof and breathable. By avoiding bleaching substances, the strong colours of the textile are preserved. In addition, the detergent has an anti-odour effect and the DEO effect keeps your ski gear fresh and comfortable to wear.

Impregnation of ski clothing - with preservation of breathability

The special challenge when impregnating ski clothing is to maintain the breathability of the membrane textiles while protecting them against wind, moisture and cold. While conventional impregnating products are satisfied with sealing the surface against water and dirt, they also block the breathability of the membranes. We use HEY SPORT IMPRA WASH-IN to maintain the full functionality of the membranes. This is done by coating each fibre individually with the special properties of the liquid impregnator, thus achieving an impregnating force that is gentle on the fibres. The membrane is not affected by the washing process and thus impregnates even concealed areas.
